To the Inyo County Planning Department, the Inyo County Planning Commission, and the Inyo County Board of Supervisors:

This is not an easy letter for me to write. I have not lived in the Owens Valley in a long time. I have no current stake in the towns or communities besides old friends and fond memories. So my words may not be worth much to you, however I feel I must voice my concern.

This project makes sense in terms of utilizing renewable energy sources and looking at alternative solutions for providing sustainable energy to our cities. However, the community has spoken. The people that will have to live its proximity, do not want it there. Of course their numbers are fewer than those for whom these energy installations benefit, but why does that make it less important?

So I ask you simply, when you took your position to represent Inyo County, who were you doing it for? The people have spoken, if it is not their voices and their interests that sway your vote, than what would it take?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best Regards,

William Tull
