The Renewable Energy General Plan Amendment (REGPA) is still being developed, and thanks to the involvement of readers like you its future in Inyo County is one that will be far more reasonable and appropriate than originally planned. But the work isn’t over yet; important scoping meetings are scheduled this week, and your participation will be extremely valuable for the county as they continue to move forward. If you can, make plans to attend one of the meetings listed below.

Upcoming scoping meetings:

Tuesday June 24th: Lone Pine, CA, at  6:00PM at Statham Hall

Wednesday, June 25th: Bishop, CA, at  6:00PM in the City Council Chambers

Thursday, June 26th: Tecopa/Shoshone, at 6:00PM at the Tecopa Community Center

There is also a workshop on energy corridor issues, which directly relate to the way REGPA goes forward, scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th, at 1:30pm at the Inyo County Board of Supervisors room in Independence.

REGPA written scoping comments are due by July 10th. Also, please note that all comments submitted for prior REGPA discussion should be re-submitted to be considered part of the legal record for the CEQA analysis (previous comments were submitted prior to initiation of CEQA and so won’t be considered part of the CEQA record unless resubmitted during the CEQA process).
